Building a Community of Caring

Gaston Hospice recognizes that quality care extends well beyond providing basic hospice services. In keeping with our mission of building a community of caring, we have developed, in conjunction with local agencies, several special programs.

Hospice in the Nursing Home

Although home is the traditional and preferred setting to provide hospice services, some people are unable to remain at home. Gaston Hospice has established partnerships with several area nursing facilities/health care centers to provide services. These services include pain and symptom management; education for patient, family and facility staff; social, spiritual and psychological support for residents, family members

and facility staff who desire it.
